St. Francis of Assisi School (SFAS) was founded on May 14, 1969 when it opened its first summer class in the former Adelfa Street, Cebu City. The school had a total enrollment of ninety (90) boys and girls in its Kindergarten classes for the first school year.
In the second semester of 1976, the school transferred its site at the Redemptorist community. Then, in 1980, through the request of the parents, the school opened its first grade level. In June of 2000, the high school department was opened in its own site at Wisdom Extension Street, Peace Valley, Lahug, Cebu City.
Today St.Francis of Assisi School offers complete Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) for boys and girls comprising Preschool, Grade school, Junior High School and Senior High school. St. Francis of Assisi School is a Catholic Institution. It is a family-owned corporation managed by the Aguas y Zuluaga brothers and sisters.

Math and Reading enhancement classes help build up the child’s self-confidence and mastery of the content based on the given materials.
JUNIOR HIGH
(GRADE 7-10)
The school also avails the services of the Global Resources for Assessment Curriculum and Evaluation (GRACE).
ELEMENTARY
(GRADE 1-6)
SFAS offers outstanding programs to help the elementary pupils excel in the academic.
SENIOR HIGH
(GRADE 11-12)
Clubs. High School students are given the freedom to choose from the different clubs offered by the school ccording to their interest and passions.
